Camp Kesem

Annual Campaign Management

In May of 2010, GTA was retained by Camp Kesem, an organization that allows college students with a desire to make a difference to come together with children, ages 6-16, from families coping with cancer for a magical, transformational, free week at sleep-away camp. Giving Tree was hired to create a major gifts campaign and to provide training, facilitation and a formalized structure for its Board of Directors. GTA created official member requirements, facilitated the establishment of nominating and development committees, personalized and expanded the number of prospective donors for its end-of-year direct mail campaign, created and organized a parlor meeting program and provided individual coaching for face to face solicitations. As a result, Camp Kesem’s year-end campaign produced double the previous year’s total revenue and twice the number of new donors. GTA now continues its work with Camp Kesem in the area of database development.
