Giving Tree Associates was hired by Reading In Motion in June 2013 to help plan and execute their 30th Anniversary Celebration on Thursday, October 18, 2013. Reading In Motion is  dedicated to helping at-risk children in Chicago learn to read through the power and discipline of the arts. Giving Tree helped to jump start an event committee while also providing overall guidance and administrative support. This included management of the project timeline, oversight of sponsor and guest follow-up, creation of event marketing and communications, development of program book and other collateral, as well as a detailed outline of evening activities and speeches. Giving Tree’s guidance helped Reading In Motion raise over $280,000, more than quadrupling revenue from their last formal event in 2008. Over 200 guests were in attendance at the celebration held at the Blue Cross Blue Shield building in downtown Chicago. Amy Schiffman also facilitated the organization’s Board Retreat in August 2013 and is planning another for June 2014.
