Capital/Endowment Campaign Management, Training

In early 2005, North Shore Congregation Israel, a Reform synagogue in Glencoe, Illinois, planned and launched an $18 million capital campaign in order to renovate and expand their current facility. In July of 2008, Giving Tree Associates was hired to manage the final fundraising phase of the project, which was known as the community campaign. As the strategy development period came to completion, Giving Tree coordinated a final campaign push for temple members. From October 2008 through January 2009, during the onset of the current economic downturn, Giving Tree enabled North Shore Congregation Israel leadership to raise $750,000. In that same period, the number of congregant donors increased from 100 to 250.
