Giving Tree was hired by Joshua Venture Group in May 2015 to facilitate a full day training for its 2014/16 fellows cohort. Joshua Venture Group invests in visionary leaders and their innovative projects, providing funding and training to fellows to develop skills needed to turn projects into sustainable organizations that transform the Jewish community. Giving Tree spent a day in Detroit, Michigan with the group and provided the foundation for building an annual campaign, including prospect identification, cultivation and stewardship. Discussion, exercises, individual coaching, and role plays were used to teach and practice skills to help prepare the fellows to fundraise for their new nonprofit ventures.
