With more than 25 years of experience in the nonprofit field, Amy partners with organizations across a variety of sectors to develop effective fundraising campaigns, build strong leadership teams and empower them with the tools to visualize and achieve mission impact. She brings deep expertise in nonprofit fund development, coaching, training and executive search to every engagement. Amy is known for helping both professionals and volunteers maximize their leadership potential so they can position their organizations for a strong future. A seasoned volunteer board member and community activist, she understands the value of strong lay-professional partnerships and works with organizations to expand the circle of effective ambassadors for their cause.
Gary Weinstein

Adjunct Faculty Member, Fundraising and Governance, Spertus Institute for Jewish Learning and Leadership
Gary Weinstein has spent his career working for Jewish organizations as a director, fundraiser, and educator, most recently as the Midwest Regional Director for the Birthright Israel Foundation in Chicago. Before moving to Chicago, he spent 14 years as President and CEO of the Jewish Federation of Greater Dallas, a community of 60,000 with an annual campaign of $11 million and Foundation assets of $150 million. Prior to that, he was Campaign Director for both the Metrowest New Jersey Federation and Houston Federation, and served as Assistant East Central Regional Director for United Jewish Appeal. He started his career working with young people — as a high school teacher and then as City Director of Young Judea and Regional Director for BBYO.

Ellen comes to Spertus with a leadership portfolio of corporate, association, and consulting expertise paired with extensive nonprofit board experience. Ellen is a proud graduate of the Certificate in Jewish Leadership program, which Spertus Institute presents in partnership with Northwestern University, and she previously served on the Spertus Institute Board of Trustees.
